TOOL DRAWER MEASURING
Measure and record the width and depth of your tool chest drawer in inches, rounding down to the nearest eighth of an inch.
ToolLodge® is about 7/8″ high and works great in drawers which are 1 1/2 to 4 inches high.
Organizers should easily slide into the drawer without pressure. Measure twice, order once.

IMPORTANT: Tool indentations are permanent. Finalize the layout prior to lodging tools.
Empty the organizer of tools prior to lifting or moving it.
1. FIT CHECK
Install the ToolLodge® organizer in your empty tool drawer to check the fit. You may have to remove or extend the drawer. ToolLodge should fit loosely.
Place the ToolLodge on a sturdy, smooth work surface. Gently lay out your tools on the ToolLodge® the way you want them in the drawer, leaving a 1-inch margin around the edges. Avoid dropping tools on the organizer as this can dent or damage the core.
Once you have finalized the layout, press each tool individually into its place by applying firm finger/thumb pressure. This makes a permanent indentation for storing your tool.
You will be putting a lot of pressure on your tools. Do not press or tap any tools which are not sturdy; they could break.
Once the impression of the tool has been started, if it’s a very sturdy tool like a metal wrench, you can tap the tool further in with a small, non-marking hammer. Be careful not to hit the ToolLodge.
4. GRIP TOOL
Use the grip tool to create thumb-sized indentations for easier access to lodged tools.
Remove your tools, install the empty organizer in the drawer and then the tools. Finally, enjoy having a place for every tool and every tool in its place.
